I have to say, although I have never made a 'major animation' in Photoshop other than emoticon and gif animation work, this video has opened my mind on what can be achieved with Photoshop alone.

I've been experimenting with the general working method a bit myself, this gives me an idea for an animation!

Will be done in time for Valentines Day (at least that's the aim!).

I've been picking up Maya again recently and to stop me from going 'computer crazy' I've always been sketching quite a lot in between. So I've got quite a few sketches I've got down and I'm not sure which ones to work to a complete piece or not. However I'll leave you one of the ones I was working on. If I keep at this should be quite a few more and maybe some 3d stuff later in the month depending on time!

The Wacom Graphire 3 tablet that I have used for donkeys years is pretty much giving up the ghost now. I messed up the cable before because when I was younger I used to wrap the cable around itself when carrying it with my laptop. Unfortunately being the idiot I was I never thought that would knacker the cable. So sometimes I'd have to painstakingly adjust and move the cable around until I get a nice position and fix it there for the tablet to turn on and work. Unfortunately I couldn't get it to work recently, maybe I can still carry on adjusting and all that but it wasn't so much of a pain before. I just can't get it to work now.

So it's possible that it hasn't completely died but given the amount of effort I was putting into fixing it, it wasn't worth it. As sad as it is I think it's time for change! I'm waiting for my new Intuos 4 M to arrive now which should arrive Thursday I believe. So in the meantime I'm just doing sketches and plenty of planning for a piece of art. Looks like this piece I'm working on will be the first to surrender itself to my new upcoming tablet.

I am currently working on some drawings for a little project a friend of mine is doing. She is looking for people to submit artwork to her for this book! This is a great opportunity for everyone I believe, she is looking for artists, illustrators, crafters, paper engineers, toy designers, painters, digital artists and traditional artists. So any artist who is reading this right now is likely to fit into one of those categories at least!

There is a list of 50 categories to choose from. So for more information click the following link. It'll be a good fun exercise for everyone I am sure!

Yes this is version 3 of my portfolio site, and first and foremost I have to thank my friend Alex who is now hosting my site. Glad to have moved away from Streamline.net.

He is an absolute legend and this site currently wouldn't be here without  him. You can find him at http://narfmaster.deviantart.com/ or http://www.am0.co.uk/.

Will have some new drawings up in no time but new animation work will have to wait a while because I'm a bit work overloaded at this second in time. I have an animation I have been meaning to work on since quite a while ago, using a song by Christopher Tin. He did the theme music for Civilization IV and I think his music is fantastic. I recommend checking out his homepage if you get the chance! http://www.christophertin.com/

He granted me permission to use a song a while ago so when I'm more free it'll be about time to move on with that.

So keep your eyes peeled for more artwork, more to come soon. :)
